FAQ
1. Is the river float free?
Yep! The float is totally free. Grab your crew, bring your own tube or raft, or rent a raft while they’re available, and hop in.
2. Do I need a ticket for Bluebird Riverfest?
For the float? Nope. For entry to the Bluebird Music Fest @ Bluebird Social ? Yep. The river portion from 12- 4 PM is free, then the party rolls into Bluebird Social from 4–10PM with DJs all day and Hans Glader closing it out. You’ll need a ticket to get into Bluebird, but good news is it’s only $10.
3. Where does the float start & end?
We’re starting at Barber Park and end right near Bluebird Social at Ann Morrison Park— conveniently enough. Hop out and cross over the walking bridge, then left on the greenbelt for a block, and you’ll head straight into the party. Exact launch + route details coming soon.
4. What should I bring for the float?
A tube or raft, sunscreen, water, river shoes and your people. Raft rentals will be available while supplies last, too. Bonus points for getting weird with it — decorate your float and dress up your crew for our Best Raft contest (Win Prizes!).
5. What should I bring?
Your ticket, ID, sunscreen. We’ll handle the music, drinks, food and good times.
6. Can I just come to Bluebird and skip the float?
100%. River not your thing? Sleep in. Stay dry. Meet us at Bluebird anytime after 4PM and jump straight into the party.
7. Is this a Boise State event?
Nope! Riverfest is a Bluebird Social event. Boise State students are absolutely welcome and encouraged, and we expect a lot of them — along with the rest of Boise too.
8. Where can I park?
Parking around Bluebird there is free street parking on 13th and 14th Streets and Shoreline Dr, as well as paid parking lots within 1-2 blocks - there is also free parking in Ann Morrions Park right across the walking bridge. But being right on the Greenbelt we highly encourage you to bike, walk, rideshare or get dropped off if you can. And if you’re floating, remember: you’re getting in and out at different spots, so make a game plan before you hit the river. We recommend using Lime or Uber or the River Raft rental buses for a safe and worry-free time!
9. How much are tickets, and where do I buy them?
Tickets are only $10 plus a small processing fee online, so total is $11.18 with all fees included. Tickets will be available at the door as well, but we highly encourage buying ahead of time online as this event may be sold out before door sales could begin. You can buy online at: BUY TICKETS
10. Tell me about the music, who is performing?
Hans Glader is the headliner, closing out the festival.
As well we have multiple DJ’s and live bands performing throughout the day and night.
